Sabu is tired or The Hound-meltdown
Zwei Tage ist es her, daß ich in größter Sorge war, ob ich Sabu once again see healing. We were at the airport on the north side of Gate 20 on the road. Sabu went like (almost) always free and with a deep nose 20 m from and to contact me in holding free and snow-covered field. On the other hand, started a pilot, so I thought to myself even if I would call now, they could not hear me at all. And at that moment it happened: She stumbled over a rabbit and was literally within a split second with Fanny and away. Call whistle, or the use of Sprühhalsbandes would have been futile, the adrenaline was both deaf. Trusting that - as already experienced - would come back fairly quickly, I did not have any major Thoughts. But when Fanny even after half an hour was not yet back, rose up from the stomach panic. A whole hour passed before - thank God - at least the Hutzel turned up again. Together we began the search for Sabu. As it turned out, my Fanny was indeed the right direction, had disappeared in the Sabu. But through the jungle we could follow it impossible. So we thought we met at the airport fence and after a short time a police patrol, which I promised to call if they see Sabu. After a short time I actually got news that she had seen her about 2 km to the east running from us and in our direction. We took the Legs in the hand, but Sabu was seen for miles around it - they had vanished. About three-quarters of an hour later and when I was a service dog handlers of the police, we had just met by chance, requested to keep open the eyes, I could hear in the not too far away. A short time later I had gathered from the thicket. She was completely "off the roll": exhausted, drained, exhausted and probably strong in low blood sugar. And the car was parked in just over 3 km away. After four hours we arrived back there. As long as our walk was not to last. With his last strength, both literally jumped into their box, trembling and fell in on itself - incapable they leave themselves in front of the home front door again. Sabu was the end. Your feet and joints were swollen and hot, dark nipples and big as firecrackers. I've never seen Erfrierungssymptome, but I imagine it. As quickly as they had done hours earlier high of the hare, now began the deep sleep.
three hours later when I got home, Sabu was still at the point where she had lain down when coming home. was to get up not to think, let alone a normal greeting, when it comes to me otherwise contrary to loud yodeling. But the vet could give all-clear. She had no fever, and the circulation was stable. So ist dieser Hund Arbeit, Arbeit, Working ... and this is primarily to myself Lessons are empathy, consistency and patience, patience, patience.
